Long Safari from Mombasa | Mombasa Safari Package | 7 Days Mombasa Safari to Tsavo, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Maasai Mara
Day 1. Mombasa – Tsavo East National Park
Pick up from the hotel, 6am from Diani Hotels and 7am from Mombasa Hotels. Driving on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway for 100kms and stopover for coffee. You will check in Tsavo East National Park which is the largest park in Kenya. In Tsavo East we have many animals like Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Hippo, Zebras, Giraffe, Crocodiles, Ostrich etc and different types of birds. You will check in and immediately begin your Game drive, pass-by the Seasonal Aruba Dam for an opportunity to see Crocodiles and Hippopotamus. We will spend the day in the wild and our packed lunch will be served on the Banks of Galana River at the Luggards Falls while watching Hippos and Crocodiles. After a short lunch break proceed with your game-drive in search of the Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffaloes, Zebras and many more wildlife. We will go to the accommodation at 6pm for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Tsavo West National Park
Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo. Back to the camp for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by a game drive en route to Tsavo West, (The second largest park in Kenya after Tsavo East, which covers an area of 9,065 km2 and 13,747 km2 for Tsavo East). Begin your game- drive en route to the accommodation for checking in at around 1.00 pm for lunch and relax till 3pm pm. Another evening game- drive to the rhino sanctuary where you have a chance to see the black rhinos. Tsavo west is a paradise for animals and including elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetah, zebras and buffalos among others. It is also a place where you can see many birds species including Chanting Goose Hawk, Eagle, Eurasian Roller etc. The landscape of Tsavo west is grassland savannah with Acacia bushes with Mzima springs and Shetani lava being the special attractions. The game drive goes on till 6.30 pm where you drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight..
Day 3: Tsavo West National Park – Amboseli National Park
Wake up at around 6.00 am for a full breakfast followed by a game en route to Mzima springs where you have a chance to see hippos and crocodiles. The spring produces over one million litres of water per day. Drive to Chyulu gate checking out of Tsavo West driving to Amboseli with a convoy. You will have a stopover at Shetani Lava for photos and proceed to Kimana gate in Amboseli 80 kms from Tsavo West. Drive to your accommodation in time for lunch and rest until 3pm. Evening game- drive till 6.30 pm then back to the Accommodation for dinner and overnight. Amboseli covers an area of 390 km2 – physical attractions are grassland savannah, swamps and a view of Mt Kilimanjaro (The highest mountain in Africa, 5,895metres). It’s also a home to elephants, giraffes, cheetah, zebras, gnus, hyenas, buffalos among others. Amboseli is also a paradise to birds.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park
Wake up at around 6.00 am for a full breakfast and depart to Lake Nakuru national park driving through a distance of 300 kms arriving at your accommodation late afternoon for lunch. Lake Nakuru is alkaline a home to millions of flamingos and pelicans. Lake Nakuru covers an area of 202 km2 of which 40 km2 is covered by the soda ash lake. Physical attractions include the euphorbia trees, Yellow Fever Acacia forests and the landscape is a grassland savannah. Most animals seen are white Rhinos, Lions, Rothschild Giraffes, Leopards, Buffalos, Gazelles among others. At 4.00 pm, start an evening game drive till 6.30 pm then back the Accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Wake up at around 6.00 am for full breakfast. Depart to the world seventh wonder (Masai Mara) driving through a distance of 320 kms. Arrive at around 1.00 pm and make a short game drive en route to the Accommodation, checking in at around 1.30 pm for lunch. Masai Mara National Reserve has an area of 1,584 km2 and it’s one of the famous and most visited national reserves in Kenya. Physical attractions include Mara River, Talek River, Loita Hills, Serengeti plains and the annual Wild beast migration during July to September. The landscape is woodland and grassland savannah with acacia forests. Masai Mara is famous for Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Cheetah, Gazelles, Rhinos, Hyenas among others. It’s also attractive for bird watchers and news analysts. Game drive at 4.00 pm till 6.30 pm and back to the Accommodation for dinner and overnight .
Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Wake up at 5.30 am for a cup of coffee followed by an early morning game drive and back to the camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast proceed for another game drive visiting Mara River for hippos, crocodiles and the migration point of the wild beasts. (There’s another option of proceeding for a game drive with a packed lunch till evening).
Day 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi – Diani
Wake up at around 5.30 am for a cup of coffee followed by an early morning game drive and back to the camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast, proceed for another game drive. You will drive to Nairobi for lunch at Carnivore Restaurant and then you will take a flight to Diani arriving at around 4.00 pm.
